Ok so i need a completely smooth engine cover and the only one i have found is a carbon fiber piece. Reason being is i want to do a custom paint job that would look horrible with the VTEC emblem still in place. So my question is how do i go about painting carbon fiber?

 

prep the surface just like you'd do with anything else. scuff it and prime it

 

What grit would you recommend to scuff it up?

 

There's pads you can buy which are specifically made for prepping for paint. I'm too lazy to search for it but they're out there.

This is a shot in the dark but I think I might have heard my cousin's brother-in-law's nephew's friend's uncle's boss say 400-600gr?
