Looks like the poll needs to ditch the 3k-4k, and add 8k 9k 10k.

It will also be interesting to see some Used Oil Analysis for people using Dino at 15%. To see how accurate the system really is.

I'll be sure to submit one on my 3rd oil change.

I guess it depends for everybody. I'm at 30% right now and I'm 300 miles away from 6K miles. I figure by the time I get to 15% it might be close to 7K.

I'm at 30% right now with 6800 miles since my last oil change. First time it hit 15% was at 8400 miles. Again at 16,200. I'm at a little over 23,000 right now. I just scheduled another oil change for next week.

I can't believe these cars really go 6-7K between oil changes with no problems. The engine runs THAT clean and effcicient to warrant that?

Take a look a the used oil analysis forums. Regular Penzoil is easily making those number. With synthetic, 10-12k+.

Modern engines are good . . . modern oils & filters are even better.

I changed out whatever swill was in there from carmax @ 15% - which was roughly 3,800 miles. I'd guess that half of that mileage was long highway trips, but the other half was my 2 mile commute of all stoplights. My oil analysis guessed I could have gone another 1,000 miles, ho-hum. Couldn't wait anymore to get some synthetic in there.

I hear you.

My minder was at 20%, with 5,300 miles, and I used Mobile One, FTW!

I'm at 6-7,000 miles and 40%. I'm going to change it anyways, not waiting for 15%

EDIT - Went to dealership for oil change, they assured me to wait until the minder comes on. They said there wasn't really break-in oil in the new Fits, and that one came in before me earlier today when his minder came on @ 9500 miles. Hmmm.

On a side note, he kept staring at my JDM emblems. And as I drove off, he realized I was badgeless.
