How to remove o2 sensor?

Well i am wanting to know where the o2 sensor plug is located. Under the car it looks like the wire goes through a rubber grommet up into the car somewhere. Where do i find the plug?

there are two o2 sensors. a primary (located on the exhaust manifold) and the secondary located in the catalytic converter. i believe they require a 22-23mm wrench. also, which one are you talking about?

the secondary plug is under the center console. just pull it out with your hand

Sorry, didnt specify why. Reason is i have a test pipe with a CEL elim but it still threw a code. So i wanted to try and see if maybe some wires broke or something. Kelso, i am talking about the one on the cat. Do you know where it plugs into? Is it inside the car or engine bay?

you have to take your center console out to get to it but before you go out and buy a new one, check the voltage on the wires. also, what code is it throwing?

you might be able to get to the plug by pulling the rubber grommet out that it goes thru, but i think the plug is anchored to the body with a plastic clip

Eh I dont understand how to do the CEL check with a paper clip. So i may go to autozone tomorrow and see if they will check it for free.

you can probably pick up a basic obd2 code reader for like 20-30 bucks. its well worth it if you mod your car like that, messing with sensors and what not.

I just read that OBD2 scanners wont work on cars newer than 2003 bc they switched to CAN BUS(whatever that means)

i believe can bus is the software used to read the codes. obd2 is the system on the car.
not 100% on that so dont quote me for truth.

this is what i have. it works beautifully.

The oxygen sensor on the exhaust manifold is located under the heat shield (removed with 3 10 mm bolts) on the driver's side facing slightly downward. The plug connects close by a little bit further towards the driver side.

Hello could misfires be caused by a bad o2 sensor? I've had misfires for two months now. Took it to a few mechanics including Honda. I've had new spark plugs installed, new coil packs, valve adjustment done, fuel induction done, they did an engine compression test (was fine), fuel sample (nothing wrong), so then they wanted to do the fuel injectors. It was expensive so I decided to tackle that. Got OE beck arnley reman injectors and installed them. Was running fine for about 30 min than I decided to fill up and added an injector cleaner. Well then the misfires started again. Maybe I missed a step..? I dunno.. Spent lots of time on everything than money on the same stuff I've done and now I'm tapping out. Help please. Thanks! Ps. 2007 honda fit sport MT with 166k miles. This is the guide I found http://www.hondafitjazz.com/manual/A...801KBAT00.HTML
