Tire pressure gauge?
In the past I've only used cheap pen-style tire pressure gauges that seemed to give me a different reading each time I used them. Now that I've got my Fit, I want to try to keep a closer eye on the tire pressures, and so want to buy a new gauge.
I've read that digital tire pressure gauges are more accurate, but then saw that many reviewers were complaining about the accuracy and usability of a couple I found on Amazon.com. So, I was wondering if folks had any recommendations on good tire pressure gauges

Just go to your local auto parts store, and choose one that feels good. I have compared several digital tire gauges over the past decade, and have never found so much as 0.5 difference in calibration. My favorite is the Slime 20017, which has a green ring around the tip that lights up, which is quite handy in dim environments. A lighted display is essential, unless you never check tire pressures in the dark. I also have one whose head is angled at about 45 degrees from the body, with a thumb indentation on the back, which makes it particularly easy to use. OR, you could buy a pen-shaped digital gauge, and clip it to the little holder inside the upper glove compartment, which solves the where to store it issue.
These things are so cheap, and the technology is evolving so fast, that I just toss an old one if the battery runs out (it takes me 5-10 years to run the battery down), or I do something stupid like step on it.

I'm facing a problem figuring just which of the handfull of tire pressure gauges are reading anywhere near accurate. My favorite is an older Victor round dial bourdan tube type that's made in the USA. Who knows how true it reads. Going to a tire shop and comparing to theirs is most likely a waste of time. I'd bet you could sample their gauges and get readings all over the place.
I finally relocated my Zefel dial gauge I have owned for 22 years that registers the pressure and holds it until it is cleared turns out the old pencil gauge I had been using was way off. I think the Zefel is much more accurate and was bought for use in my bicycle shop.
I've never been a fan of the pencil types for one reason the increments of the scale. At my work I send in gauges for calibration and may contact them regarding calibration. Seems rather anal to want your TPG calibrated.....
