Hi all,

I just got myself a Red Fit sport. Just yesterday, I've noticed a knocking sound coming from the engine that I didn't notice / wasn't there before. I had about 400km on it right now. Is it normal or i should bring it to the dealer? Thanks in advance

Sorry for bring up an old thread, but I have a similar problem. Usually somewhere around 4.5k rpm (with 1st and 2nd gear I don't have space to test out the other gears), I have a weird knocking sound from what I believe from the pistons; however the knocking would often comes and goes. I somehow manage to capture it on film.

I am taking the car back to the dealership about it, I just want to know what going on. BTW the car is all stock.

 

i watched your video but couldn't make out any knocking. if it's really knocking (and not just some other engine sounds) then i think you should bring it to the dealer. and why is your Check engine light on? did you scan that yet?

 

The knocking in the video is somewhere at 44 second. As for the engine light that the 1st time it happens.

 

hmm i was thinking it might have been valve tick but if it's knockage the best was to go is back to the honda dealer to get it checked out
