Can anyone tell me what caused this?

So I was changing my plugs to see why my MPGs were sucking. #1,#3,and #4 all looked fine but my #2 plug and plug coil thing were orange and smelled burnt. I'm guessing its on its way out.... right? Any idea where the cheapest place to buy one is?

I got it figured out. Plug compression leakage. :/ It was leaking around the ceramic and started heating up the coil.

Jeepers! Were those the original spark plugs? How many miles were logged on those suckers?

I've seen plug compression leakage cause this before but it was on a much older model year Honda

Anywhoo, hondapartsnow.com tends to be the cheapest source for OEM Fit parts, so I'd check them out first before exploring other sites.

I had ordered a new coil-on-plug part before I figured out it was the plug. Eh, I'll have a spare part I guess. They are the original factory plugs with 89K on them. Manual says they should be good until 100K. I took them out at 60K to check them while I was doing a valve adjustment. They looked good at the time. I'm always VERY careful not to drop, damage, cross thread, or over tighten the plugs so It would suprise me if it were my fault. I've temporarily replaced the plugs with some Platinum Autolites gapped to .044 that were about $12 for the set. It set off a CEL, but that went away after I reset the ECM. It runs just fine and I think my gas mileage is better.... it would make sense if I was losing some compression. I need to run a whole tank to be sure of the MPG numbers. The motor didn't sound any different so I had no idea it was happening. I noticed I was getting an average of 28 MPG when I would normally get 32 and the maintenance minder told me to change the oil at 6400 miles rather than the usual +-7400 so I figured something was going on. That's why I pulled the spark plugs.
