window haze

Winter's coming with rain and snow....what can I use to clean my windshield that won't create that annoying, vision-blurring haze?

Old newspaper works for me! No streaks! No haze!

New ones leave a mark (joke).

I use Rain X fog window cleaner on the inside and Rain X on all the window outside with the Rain X window washer fluid for added protection. It really helps.

I'm going to try Meg's NXT glass cleaner, then I'll try Rain-X. Thanks!

A really clean windshield it required for first time RainX app. Clean it well then apply RainX to a warm glass following instructions. Two apps and a good buffing work well. Final rub down w/ clear water after it dries well also helps.

Using their washer fluid helps keep it alive. I'll run the washer on a clear windshield and let them rub dry just to apply the stuff every once in a while.

If you drink lots of coffee it will haze the windows too. If you smoke but not in the car it will haze the windows so minimize heavy breathing is the answer.

So I'm going to add 'hold your breath' to my start up routine..... ;-)

Personally I've stopped using anything other than a good window cleaner [invisible glass] on the interior of my cars and none of those 'plastic treatments' on the dash or anywhere else in the car. Only interior glass 'fogging' I see is weather related, or if I drive around with my daughter's dog in the car - he's like a sponge turned inside out...

I use invisible glass (stoner's) both inside and out. It works great (when I actually do clean the windows). If you want really realy, damn that is clean how did you do that, outside windows, head to the local self service car wash and use the high preasure soap and watter then high preasure rinse folowed by drying the windows or the spot free rinse (actually works!). Leaves the windows really clean since no residue or any cleaner is left on them.

Then have a bird crap on the windshield as you leave the parkinglot...

this thread reminded me... i have to clean my '12 inside glass this weekend.

i use Griot's WindowCleaner on dedicated glass MF towel and a window wizard tool to reach the very bottom of the front glass.

Help me out here folks....

The easiest way to prevent fogging inside the car is to remove the humidity in the car. Especially in the winter months.

I read somewhere that a feller had put a small bucket in the back of is car. Was it cat litter?

For the life of me I can't remeber what is was. Some like a desiccant anyway...

OHHH found it on Amazon....

Amazon.com: MDR MDR306 Damp Away II Dehumidifier 20oz: Sports & Outdoors

EDIT : this stuff looks even better

Amazon Amazon
