okay , though i have a honda fit 2009 repair manual i'm now needing the info where to get factory manuals at reduced prices.
I did see this somewhere in this maze of threads and like a fool didn't write it down.
yeah,... i felt remorse at paying dealer price...$128.00 after reading how others had gotten their manual for about $74.00!!
i aquired a VW jetta GLI with a flipped timing belt....gonna need a head so i need a factory manual for this job....
......yes, I still love my fit....
thanx for the help........

no, digital ....i don't own a notebook to use near the car.
i'm looking for the old school paper manuals.
found a set on amazon for around $85.00...published by bently...who also prints the VW factory manuals....probably can't beat that anywhere.
thanx.

For most repairs you only need a couple pages at most. I print out the ones I need then don't have to worry about getting greasy fingerprints on them or scribbling notes, measurements etc on them.
Toss 'em when you're done.
Plus, with the pdfs you can have a copy at home and at work. ;-)

good point and a strong argument for digtial .......
i'm old school and just prefer flipping pages...and cleaning hands before touching the bible....though it's difficult not to transfer some sweat /dirt onto the pages from time to time!...

i found VW jetta manuals published by bently from amazon for $88.00 shipped.
VW uses an engine code and this code specifics what manual is needed.
code is stored in the ECM of the car...found no-where on the car. how convenient for the dealer who has to recover this code using their diagnostic equip. $$$.
luckily, found a code chart on line and deciphered the code that fit the car.
seems the monopolies world wide don't want independent shops or owners working on theirs cars.......

$150 but very complete, I bought it. 2 books , each one is 1.5 inches thick.

Since I am yet to own my very own Fit quite soon, I am trying to soak in all the information I can procure on the little car. Since we’re talking about manuals here, I’d like to share my findings with all members here - http://www.automotix.net/autorepair/...it-repair.html This contains all DIY repair maintenance of all models and should be quite handy for Fit owners.
