Remove Gum Front Floor Matt

Just realized I had some crusted gum on my floor matt. How can I remove this?

Not really feeling putting my matt in my freezer as that is gross. Would like this gum removed. Any suggestions?

Perhaps using peanut butter or something like that?

Well freezing helps get some of it off. Try ice cubes. Then WeatherTechs over top -)

Its funny that you say that. I do have WeatherTechs for the front. I like using my OEM summer matts though in the summer and some how managed to get gum on it.

I was thinking about the ice cube trick as well and then perhaps scrape it off with scissors or a knife.

My fear of the ice cube though is that it will make the gum moist and therefore hard to take out.

I've seen city workers use some kind of steam cleaner to clean gum off streets. Perhaps you can buy or rent a small steamer and see if that will dissolve the gum and then follow with a spot cleaning machine?
