I just replaced all 4 coils on my 2007 fit sport car was running great till later that day when I picked it up cylinder 4 code for misfire came up(I just picked it up that day and she was running great) I'm stumped why would a new coil die the same day I picked it up I'm stumped could use some advice thanks

 

Did you get OEM Honda coils or cheap off-brand?

 

Could have been damaged during install? And as stated, aftermarket coils have often caused problems too.



Other causes of misfires are loose/improper spark plugs and valves out of adjustment.

 

I got intermotor UF581s on all 4 reviews were 50/50 online. Just didn't have the bread to lay out for actual Honda coils. No.4 was bad so my mechanic replaced it

I have just returned my Intermotor coil to AAP after 8 months , full refund , for a part that has a 90 day warranty. Don't waste your money on these cheap parts. Mine separated upon removal because of the ill fitting boot on the coil side, which also caused the coil electrode to rust. Buy the Hitachi coils, its cheaper in the long run!
