How to Paddle shift into first at a higher speed

Hello everyone,
I have a auto 2014 fit with paddle shifters. I'm trying to figure out how to down shift into 1st gear at a higher speed. The factory safety settings are set way too slow and I'm already past the apex of the turn by the time it allows me to shift if at all, then I'm way low in the rpms exiting the turn.
Are there any mods to change this? I'd prefer a shop to do the work. I live near the south bay area of you know any local shops.
Thanks.

Shifting into 1st at speed is not wise, so the transmission doesn't allow it. In my opinion, even with a manual transmission, it's not a good choice because of synchro and clutch wear, yet people somehow want to do it approaching traffic lights. Brake pads are cheaper than transmission components; save the downshifts for long downhills and when needed for passing. 1st is normally a get moving speed, not an operating speed unless you're crawling in traffic. My $0.02.

Our 2013 Fit Sport is an auto with paddle shifters and I've never thought the RPMs in driving were so low as to need select 1st. I'm guessing that something may be wrong with your transmission? It's a fun little car, but with a 1.5L engine producing 117 HP and 106 LB/FT Torque, I don't expect to be powering my way through much of anything.

Since you're looking to downshift to 1st, I assume auto-x. Not sure about the 2014's (3rd gens) but 2nd gen autos do not allow downshifting (to 1st or 2nd) if speed is too high for revs. Safety feature.

Still looking for a safety bypass method

Hey guys thanks for the response.
The tranny is working fine. The main reason I want to shift earlier is on the 10 mph turns that are on my local roads where I live. I'm in a rural area with a 20 minute drive with many 180 degree turns and the rpms at that speed are outside the power band.
I'm an exracer who likes to keep it on the pipe.
Thanks again.

You don't actually say what the rpm are at, when you say too low.

Mine is a 1st generation with manual, but a good friend has a 2nd generation automatic. When she floors the throttle, it downshifts fine on its own, to bring the revs up. Could be something wrong with your cars shift down, if it won't go into 1st unless the rpm are very low. But hard to know without you telling us what rpm it would downshift at.
