spoon throttle body

hey guys
i heard from some other forums dat havin a larger throttle body helps with performance and also response. anyone heard about this? im thinkin of doin to my ride but dont know where to get it and spoon site is all in Jap cant understand anything there, so probably rebore my throttle body to a larger diameter similar to Spoons.

No JDM TB's will fit on the US Fits because of the drive by wire.

It's not as easy as it sounds.

Besides reboring the TB you need a larger butterfly and for the most benefit, you need the computer to be tuned for the larger TB.

You need to decide how large to go. Big is not always better, there can be drivability problems.

You'll also need to decide on how to rebore, straight sides or taper edges on the inside of the TB. Differences in design can affect air flow.

just because they make it...doesn't mean you have to buy it.

I highly DOUBT...anyone here is at the point where a larger throttle body would benefit their driving experience.

all because large throttle body is not being mentioned in Fitfreak doesnt mean dat it doesnt have its benefits!, and i ve got a JDM

so its like pressure? due to the wide opening at the top and the narrow part at the butterfly the air is pressured to move out faster?
dats wat i understand of the venturi effect, correct me if im wrong?
is dat the same as wat Spoon has done to the TB?

I don't think that you can bore it in Bahrain. Why you don't bore it at Maxbore.com throttle body boring service and it will be cheaper than Spoon.

I don't think they have good machine shops there, and also don't think it has been done before there.

holy shit!!!! u havent been to Bahrain before??? so how do u know we dont have good machine shops here??? dude! Bahrain is not a desert, we have good mechanics here from Philipines, Japan, USA, India and also Bahrainis.
As matter of fact we have an Formula 1 racing circuit, the only one in the Gulf, we have lots of drags, Car rallies and ofcourse Drifting.
Dude, get ur ass to Bahrain with ur ride and i will drift around u with my Jazz (FWD by the way) and u wont even know wat happened!!
oh by the way i got alot of Egyptian friends here and even they say Bahrain has got good workshops and mechanics

You are not doing drifting, and what you are doing is making dounuts around me. Drifting is taking corner by a drift. I prefer to keep my ass here.

This is just my opinion.
