Anyone hear of the SR*S N1-Extreme Exhaust?

I found this on ebay... i think its a knock-off system, but it is a complete cat-back for 170US! Has anyone used one of these? is it worth the try?

eBay Motors: SR*S FULL CATBACK EXHAUST SYSTEM 07 + HONDA FIT 2007 (item 320099758559 end time Apr-12-07 16:45:31 PDT)

Its a knock off. Probably worse then SSAutoChrome.....
I was thinking of buying it just for the B-pipe and ditching that muffler. Not my style.

Not sure about fitment though.

I dont know about the quality, but I read reviews of other people who have bought exhausts from him and they say the quality is good.

I've purchased a similar ebay exhaust for my old 91 240SX. Its just metal pipes with bends in it. You cant mess that up! The quality, fitment and sound was fine. Headers on the other hand I would think twice about due to the # of welds required. Used for over 1 year, no problems at all, even through winter. If this exhaust is within the price range you are willing to pay, then go for it!

Hey thanks for the feedback!

Could you tell me if it was "too loud" vs. other systems out there? I know it comes with a silencer too so that should help right?

I wonder if it was "too loud" then if I could just bolt the axle back on to my stock mid pipe?

I also read...lol...that their exhausts were all super loud. I think most of the guys who bought it had nissans and subarus. Do a few searches on google for the ebay sellers username.

True, but I had no fitment problems with the ebay catback I got for my 240sx. Maybe you should ask if the exhaust was made on friday or not

IMHO i wouldnt trust it.

pic in link is of a honda civic exhaust not one for the Fit.....which doesnt really mean anything but i would hope someone trying to sell something would have an actual pic of the item for sale.

also the pic ISNT an SR*S exhaust....its a pic of the Tsudo N1.....my dad has this on his EG hatch. its just a copy of the pic re touched to look like its own.

in any matter. yes the bends tend to be slightly off in these types of exhaust found on eBay....for example on my dads EG the last bend before the axle back on the B Pipe was off to the point where it rubbed the chassis....causing a very annoying rattle.....and the b pipe was a bit too long and pushed the axle back out a lil too far. also the exhaust hangers for the b pipe hit the shift linkage (wouldnt apply to the Fit) on the car as well.

overall its not bad considering the price.....but there are gonna be some flaws with it. some bigger than others. and since the quality control is somewhat lacking since i doubt this is a BIG name company making these some batches will be bad and some decent.

if your looking for an exhaust on the cheap id say look at Megan Racing....there quality isnt bad by any means and they are very well priced.

Like I said, if I get this exhaust hopefully things will be cleared up and I'll have tons of pics, sound clips, and measurements to see if the B-pipe is usable.

Lots of ebay auctions dont have pics of the actual item for sale. Just a generic picture and/or logo.

Lets just say there was a bad batch, just exchange it for another. Simple as that. You dont have to live with it. I know I wouldn't. Even DC a BIG company, has bad cracking ceramic headers (Civic Si)

Besides, the guy has 12,000 ebay sales with 100% feedback which is crazy hard to maintain.

At the end of the day, even if he had to exchange the exhaust 4x times, it will still be 2x+ times cheaper than most catback systems, and perform just the same.

Just my $0.02

That is true but the sound at least to me is just as important. I would love to get a exhaust for my fit when it comes in....BUT I want one that is a deep tone not metallic and raspy.

But then again I did go from a near 400hp subaru to a g35 coupe and those I personally think are two of the better sounding cars let alone with a exhaust.

But my first nice car was a 94 2dr accord and it was a great car, fresh paint, dropped 18's I.H.E tint, and this was back in 2000 when not every car had a tip on it. And the car sounded great, and that is what I can get out of the fit eventually, a little louder with a deeper tone with no drone or rasp to it. If I can't I will stay stock, I can't stand some of the civics I hear on the street that sound terrible and are tinny...UGH

I definitely think it is worth a try.. the full system does come with a silencer... I'm not too sure how well these work to reduce the noise, but for the price... how could you go wrong? And they do say it is 100% full stainless steel!

didnt mean to push any buttons....first post asked for feedback from someone who owned one...my dad does and didnt like it. so i replied.

its worth a try for sure considering the price....but it may just end up like my dads situation....he's ditching it for a Tanabe.

240s barely have any bends. You cant really mess up. Only problem Id think they would mess up on is the bend around/under the rear swaybar. If you get too close rattling could occur. My friends HKS cat-back is really close to that bar on his s13. Even that has a slight fitment issue; which was NOT cheap.

smeister, Good luck with the exhaust. Of course youll report back. I was thinking of giving in but Im trying that thing when you save money.
It wont work but Im going to try. Actually; Im installing springs on my friends 07 Si. Ill use that money maybe. I just want the B-pipe.

It has a listing of it being 2.5in. Thats rather big for our little motors. Hope its a typo.

EDIT
Hahaha! SRS full cat-back. Airbags, SRS? Ohh nevermind.

Personally I would never buy any kind of knock off item for my car. Most of the time their just junk. Basiclly you get what you pay for. If you want to try it out go ahead. But, if its complete junk then your gona spend more money on something better. So you should just get something better to begin with. From a reputable company that puts the R&D into it. I know not everyone has the money to buy the good stuff but I say if your gona do, it do it right. You figure you paid good money for the car why put a low quality part on it that someones making in their garage. But, its your ride so you make the call. Im just giving my opinion.
