Hey everyone, my and a friend custom made an intake last night, im pretty happy with it. Only problem is today, i was revving the engine a little bit checking to see if anything was coming loose, and i went to the back for some reason and saw it kicking back whaty i BELIEVE is gas....so im assuming im running rich (correct me if im wrong) is there any way to correct this?

 

u sure it wasn't just condensation coming out of the exhaust? was it a little cold that day?

 

def not rich. that's usually normal. that's how they come from the factory. the intake if anything would make u run lean

 

I agree. More than likely, it's just condensation. You're intake, in theory, will be ingesting more, or denser, air into the engine which, in extreme cases, will cause you to run lean. If you are running so rich that fuel is coming out of your exhaust, you have a lot bigger things to look at than your intake

 

NOT POSSIBLE for raw gasoline to be coming out of your exhaust, unless you have removed your catalytic converter and the engine is missing on at least one cylinder. If you were "running rich", the symptom would be BLACK smoke out the exhaust.

 

haha alright thanks guys, that plus the MPG loss just made me wonder...though to loss may be just from me flooring it just cuz i like the little bit more push it gives me and the sound =)
