none at all man... they both seem the same, the short ram is a little louder, but no difference in pull

Not hard unless you buy from K & N, where you must re-manufacture the whole thing to get it under the hood!

I heard about that... what is the deal with that, and why would they even sell something that does not fit!?

They made a GIANT mistake which they have admitted to on this forum. There is a LONG thread- "Warning- Do Not Buy K & N SRI" in the JDM Tuning/Engine Swaps forum, that I started back in January. Because of my warning and photos, none of our other members have bought this mistake.

But in spite of promises made by K & N in that thread to fix the defective intakes that have been sold, they have done NOTHING AT ALL!

xcurt-

ANYONE can install a short ram intake. It would be silly to pay some "mechanic" $100.00 per hour just to use a screwdriver and a wrench for 10 minutes. At least TRY it yourself first. If you get into trouble, put everything back and then pay somebody else. Breaking something in your attempt would be almost impossible!

If you have enough intelligence to drive your car around without running into things, you can install a SRI.
