Does anyone know where the TPS wire is located.... along witht the tach wire?

can you take a picture of that cuz i remember someone telling me it was behind the throttle body and it was a red with black line wire.

 

The throttle body only has 1 plug going to it, I think? Cant be that hard to find, I wouldnt know because Ben could be talking about a 17pin clip at the ECU?

 

yea and the ecu is on the passg. side... but im there is a plug behind the throttle body that has a plastic cover over it. I believe its a 6 pin connector w/ yellow/red blue, red/black and a couple other wires. But i think the red/black one is it.

 

I remember the plug on the TB but not how many wires are on it. 6 seems right.
Ive replaced my TB due to stupidity. *Puts head down*

I was dumb and ported my TB. Hahahah! Thats why I know about the OEM TB.
Its deff. not cheap.

 

trying to finishing running my zex kit but i think i might have tapped the wrong wire for the TPS. so stuck on this step already installed window switch fuel lines and ran the lines... im hoping i just tapped into the wrong wire and my NMU box isnt messed up.

 

the D6- purple wire is not the throttle positioning wire. The Fit ECU communicates with the electronic throttle module using a serial bus, so there isn't a standard 0-5V sensor that will tell you the actual throttle position. The next best thing would be to use the accelerator pedal position sensor (pin D6). Just realize that the electronic throttle doesn't always follow the accelerator position directly: some stock ECUs will open or close the throttle if they think the MAP sensor voltage is too high or too low.

 

wheres that located at in the engine bay or under the ecu?

 

on the ecu plug D pin number 6

 

so thats just the accelerator position not the tps but it will work the same? have you done the same set up?

 

yeah that's what im using for TPS signal, it's pretty accurate but just remember that it's not always accurate

 

lol scaring me there w/ it not being always accurate its for the TPS sensor on the ZEX box. So does anybody know what the red wire with black line is on that 6pin connector behind the throttle body is then? cuz i have it spliced to there rite now but no worries not running it I will try to splice into that wire instead when i get off of work this weekened then.

 

you can also get the TPS wire from the harness that plugs into the throttle body. on the 8th gen civic, it is the first wire (pin1) red/black. i haven't looked at the fit yet, but it might be similar.

i found the throttle body TPS wire more accessible than the ECU plug.

 

yea thats what i was saying my tps is behind the throttle body under a plastic cover and i spliced that same color one.... I hope my zex box isnt messed up.
