yeah your suppose to have air filter oil for K&N. I have a fujita on my fit, but i have K&N air filters on my mini. K&N has a "recharge" kit, like an air filter cleaner and oiler i believe.

*you can buy the recharge kit at some autozones n pepboys n stuff liek that

Oil are here for block water and bad particles.

If you have a Dryflow filter(white - grey), don't oil it.

You must clean your filter every 10'000km or 15'000km.

If you don't whant clean it, remove them.

Won't make much of a difference really, but it works better with the oil

All K&N filters come with oil on them when you buy them no need to worry about putting the oil on AGAIN until it's time to wash it. don't worry about your case there already is oil on your filter.

on my K&N pancake filters for my mini, i just look at it and if its not red anymore and the mesh on the filter looks clogged, then id clean it. no time limits for me. i have a sri for the fit, and the other has filters over the carb, so i guess its a different story,

wish you guys woulda replied yesterday! haha i took it off yesterday and cleaned/sprayed some oil on it(got the k&n recharger kit). it was still red, but much more red after i sprayed it. i need to get a new filter most likely, the mesh is a little beat up. but the inside seems to be fine? the wire mesh is only there to protect the actual filter right?

thx for the help ;p
