bored at work and browsing ebay for fit parts. i found this axle back. i dont know why but i really like the way it looks. do you all think it would sound any different than all the other ebay fart canisters out there?

i think it will sound like a fart canister as well. but it looks like a limp dick at the end.

i would save the money. i mean you can get a 4x9 magnaflow muffler for probably the same price and get it made to a axle back. and be way cooler.

i found that exhaust from ebay too. i decided to drive out to the shop that was distributing them to buy it but decided against it because the welds on this thing look like it was a project for their community college. definitely stay away from this axle back, save your $40.00 for your next tank of gas

a full tank does have a sweeter tone than any fart can could ever offer. thanks for the advice.

the best sounding exhaust i have ever had was 2 bomz mufflers from ebay for my old tiburon gtv6. they were cheap as hell, looked good, and sounded amazing. $40 is probably worth the risk.

Looks like the the air duct that my dryer pumps hot air out of. If my Fit could do laundry while driving, I'd take it ugly or not.

fail... i'm just gonna put it out there. if you're on ebay for cheap parts it's cuz you're bored. end of story. . i don't mean to rant but hey, i like quality parts and anyone that wants to waste their money are only feeding the posers in the industry to produce worthless parts.

AMEN

as previously stated, the welds on this exhaust reminded me of chewed gum. i'd give it a matter of months before the hangers break off

BTW, $40.00 won't even buy me a full tank of gas anymore -- $4.49/gal. 87 octane LoL

well its on. sounds pretty good. had some clearance issues around the rear lip. small quarter inch trim did the trick. muffler gets hot! worried about melting rear lip. anyone else have this issue with other exhausts? ill get pics and audio soon as i figure out how to post it. any help would be appreciated on that. it dosent sound like a coffee can muffler good deep rumble to it. low interior sound with it. dosent have that high pitch ricer whine. welds dont look to bad. could be a little cleaner looks like good penetration on the welds on the hangers. but like others said if it dosent work out i can always sell it and save for a full cat back.
heres the video revved to about 5-6k YouTube - honda fit exhaustName: fitexhaustrear.jpg

congrats on the muffler man. cant wait to hear it.

and now for my rant...
i agree with you about quality car parts 100% but to say that every single parts manufacturer that isnt selling axle backs for less than 500 a pop a poser is so wrong. if you go and look at this item on ebay it does not say "super jdm gt touring spoon muffler''. that would be posing, sure it might be a very low quality product but the seller did not claim that this was some elite high quality piece of art. every one starts some where and im sure right now there is some guy/girl in their garage welding axle backs because its something they love to do and they can make some cash off of it. who knows years from now that same person could be designing the very parts that gear heads blow their loads over because they are so well made... just my two cents.
