new fitfreak needs help

Hello all, first post here. have been lurking for a while now. took delivery of my SSM 08 fit MT 2 weeks ago. so far, i love it. Only mod so far is a scangaugeII. averaging 38.4 MPG for the first 2 tanks. This is new to me. I am a 44 yr old with a 1983 K10 chevy 4wd with HP crate motor, and a 84 Jeep cj-7 which i just added fuel inj to. Also drive as 96 saturn sl-1 for gas and a Bigdog Motorcycle. I want to change out the exhaust as my first mod. want a better, more beefy tone, not obnoxious, with some good perf gains. looking to keep the orig header and Cat. Looking for recommendations for the best exhaust mod to go with to get a little better perf and sound. Money really not an object cause of the money i'm saving in gas over my other vehicles. I have searched for about 5 hours now and have only become more confused. Is cat-back what i need, and is T1r or j's racing or some other the best route? Looking for opinions on what is currently available. Thanks

Hmmmm well...

I'd say go j's racing cat back. Sounds great... and it's titanium to it's super light
If you wanna go cheaper get skunk2. It's a bit loud, but it sounds nice.
If you want quiet, Tanabe Medallion Touring, but its just an axle back

ok, axle-back will bolt right in.

if you are looking for sound the best thing i can do to help is give you the link to my thread of exhaust clips which is here ----------> Last Stop For Exhaust Clips!!!! Videos Inside

there is also a giant thread on aftermarket exhausts posted somewhere, and i may have a link in my thread if it decides that it wants to work. hope this helps. let us know what you decide.

-and welcome-

I have a megan axle back I don't know how much it does for performance but as far as sound before I took out my resonator I think it might have been a little quieter than the stock muffler and it had a deeper tone which I liked. Now I took out the resonator and it is louder. Hopefully I can get a sound clip soon ( cavie we have to do that )
