Something you probably don't need because I don't want to have to hear it.....

i don't understand how running a muffler is louder than nothing. was that just from changing alxebacks? or the midpipe also?

A-Spec

All I can vouch for is the set-up that I have. Cat-Delete, B-Pipe, and Axel-Back. And for me, for a honda, it's pretty F-ing loud. I have a mustang I drag race, and I'd rather be driving the stang daily than this exhaust set-up on the Honda.

My friend had the J's axle back, mid pipe and test pipe on his car for a day or two and it was pretty loud, though I don't have anything else to compare to.

IMO, the spoon is not too loud at normal driving, im running the B-pipe and Axle-back and its got a nice tone and alot quieter then my neon with a Rice can on it. My question is though why do you want a realy loud exhaust?

I've got the J's rear and mid-pipe and it's echo-off-the-buidlings loud, especially @ 4k and above. The cat-delete makes it even moreso if you add one. Here's a vid of mine from the outside, if you look at my other vids there's a lot of in-car ones as well.

YouTube - USDM Fit w/ J's Racing 50RR full catback, outside

If you want to hear the J's w/ the cat-delete, none better than dougiepants' original J's vids from way back; they're what sold me.

YouTube - J's Racing 50RR on GD3 @ Idle & Driving Away
YouTube - J's Racing 50RR on GD3 Driving by Full Throttle

BTW, the performance is there as well as the noise w/ the J's, so it's not just all show and no go -- it really goes.

like running the entire catback.....buddyclub that thing is stupid loud.

then running the no muffler was not as loud. something about the freakin n1 style mufflers just loud as hell.

right now im running oem b pipe with no muffler and its so much quieter. i have my axleback sitting in my storage, im currently waiting on a home boy of mine to give me his hks carbon ti muffler so i can do a custom set up.

on my crx i hollowed out a $20 muffler that i got from a local muffler shop (the round types that ricers use to replace their fart cans after they're given a fix-it-ticket ). i had that welded to the 2.5' header back that i had custom made, no resonator.

i HATED driving afterward because it was just TOO DAMN LOUD! i didn't even listen to my radio because the cabin drone was almost louder than it's highest setting.

loud exhaust + slow car = embarrassing
