boosting, which gauges to install?

I was thinking that just a boost gauge and a wideband O2 gauge would take care of what I need to know that it is working properly. Is there another major gauge I should be thinking about?

I don't really want to mess with installing the gauges, how much might a performance shop charge to install 2 or 3 gauges and a gauge pod?

may want to consider a EGT gauge depending on the boost and thermostat. Other good options would be a oil pressure and/or fuel pressure gauge(s).

congrats on the boost.

performance shops are notorious for overcharging for small jobs like that. I would suggest taking it to a buddy that is mechanically inclined and spending an afternoon with him.

Boost, wideband, water temp, and maybe oil pressure?

I have only pre-ordered the KWSC a/t kit, so I don't have it yet -- but I thought I might get these things wired up and ready.

Like the O2, that takes some welding to install another sensor.

Yep. it's a standard bung that you will have to have welded on/in before the cat (in most cases). A muffler shop could do that part for you if you do not have the resources. The rest is hiding wires pretty much.

Yeah, I just want "enough feedback" so I can verify things are basically working properly. Like, if I mess up a fitting, I'll see a drop in the boost gauge. Or, if the AFR is out of range, that's a bad one. I don't plan on tracking/racing my car so I don't think I need those other gauges.

So, what's involved in installing the boost gauge, is it simple, or do I have to drill a hole into the metal tubing, or ... ?

Boost, oil pressure, wideband, coolant temperature, in that order if you need one more Voltmeter.
