The Vitz one looks very much like an Eaton roots supercharger. The Jazz like a Powerdyne centrifugal supercharger. Though a Garrett turbo also looks similar.

Yeah, gotta be a Garrett turbo...actuator is a dead giveaway. Top Fuel is supposed to release this kit in Q4 2005...should be cheaper than the HKS Kyusyu, but the HKS kit comes with intercooler, SSQV, and programmed fuel management (F-Con S).

The Top Fuel Fit has an HKS Turbo and InterCooler that cranks out 204 hp. At the first of the year they tested at Tsukuba Circuit and turned a faster time than some of the higher horsepower wagons like the Step Wagon and the Estima. It was actually a full second faster. The Vitz supercharger is made by Greddy.

Here is MR. Top Fuel's site:

http://www.topfuel.info/works/index2.html

The fit in this page though is different from that one featured in Option. This one is rated at 150ps(roughly 148hp). This is turbo'ed also but seems smaller if its making about 50hp less then that one featured in Option. Still better then 110hp stock though.

thanks for the reply, do you know why it's 50hp less? And is the top fuel going to be a complete kit or what is the deal, or do you still have to mix & match parts? Thanks in advance for the reply :P

I checked out Top Fuel's site, I dont know why its gonna be 50ps less but the kit on that car in the article might be a prototype for future use if the demand for more power by Fit owners becomes evident if this less powerful entry level kit isnt sufficient. By the way this smaller kit lists for around $2k roughly in Japan, not sure if its released already or not.

Actually after checking out the article closer it shows that they dynoed the kit to make 180ps at the wheels so around 175hp give or take. Its gonna be a full out kit, 340cc injectors it says in the article of course with all the fuel and turbo plumbing to go with it, too bad I live in Cali, no way I can pass smog with that kit.

2K for 50HP? Seems like a bit of a waste. I mean I'm sure you could do a DIY Kit for cheeper. I mean how are they tuning it? Piggy Back? God I hope not. I wouldn't do anything unless a stand alone ECU setup was able to be used. I mean I'm looking for real power and reliability as well. Could this also be list #'s on a lower displacement motor?

Another reason for the low #'s in general for this kit. Is the fact that there is no intercooler. If you notice in the Top Fuel Option Article the piping goes up to a FMIC and on the Top Fuel Website the piping goes from the turbo straight into the TB. this is the reasons for the lower #'s and nothing else

hmmm so do you know when this kit will become commercially available or is it just more economic to just get mix & match e.g. HKS etc
