My review Tanabe Medallion +
My review Tanabe Medallion +
A-Spec CAI. Could not be happier! If you want "Hey everybody look at me!!!" Look elsewhere, because this combo is so subtle it almost sounds OEM. I love it. I'm 34 with wife and four year old daughter and REALLY didn't want to draw attention of any kind and I feel like I got the perfect set-up. Plus rep to Kodo for selling me the axle back, thanx man I am soooooo happy.
Butt dyno sez 200 WHP!!! LOL Very modest gains with the exhaust, mostly up high on the tach. The car seems to pull more willingly from 4500 RPM on up to fuel cut now than it did before. I think it lost a little bit lower in the rev range though. I was expecting this somewhat, its to be expected when you take back-pressure out of a system as well designed as the Fits standard exhaust. I think I'm gonna slice open the OE muffler this weekend to see whats inside there. I will probably go with a header and B-pipe later (much later) but I am very pleased so far. The soundis EXACTLY what I was after, very mellow and low key. My A-spec drowns it out at WOT!
I actually got the exhaust from a member here, at a great price. The Tananbe can be had from AJ Racing (amoung others) I'm not really coast specific when it comes to car parts, since they are almost all coming from Japan anyway. Check the classifieds often, these guys trade car parts faster than Lindsay Lohan gets drunk on nickle draft night.
I checked AJ Racing, and they don't have it listed for a FIT. Everywhere else I've seen it for about $350... which is a bit pricey for me. But I want something like you're talking about --- solid performance and near oem sound.
Maybe I'll just keep looking and find a good deal....

I've had it on the car for about two weeks now and about 2,000 miles. The packing seems to have burned in nicely, the initial start-up growl is just a touch louder now than when it was brand new. You still can't really hear it at highway speed unless you tromp on it. I would call this the "cruisers" axle-back because it sounds the best at speeds under 40MPH. I'm hoping that a B-pipe and header won't kill the great sounds I'm getting currently, because I plan on going that route in the future.
yes
GRTPUMPKIN i agree it is very mellow i just put my medallion on yesterday very very nice I was also wondering what a b-pipe would do to the sound cause i am interested as well. Does anyone have this setup? sound clips?
you can find my video clip in the "Exhaust Clips" thread. or search "Honda Fit World Sport 2" on youtube.com

everyone has their opinions about megan, i personally like their products. they're a far stretch from Spoon or T1R, but they're by no means a Pep-boys product or *gulp* APC
Sorry to continually hijack this thread...
I'm thinking about the Megans Axleback... don't really want to mess with the b-pipe. I like the sound of the drive-by I saw on youtube... but the other clips make a funny noise when it's started or shut off.
I'd really consider the Tanabe if I could find it cheaper... $375+ for an axleback is quite a lot for me....
Where's the cheapest anyone has seen it?

Used parts FTW!
Most of the stuff in the classifieds on this site has been on the car for five thousand miles or less. The high-rollers on this site are constantly changing out wheels, exhausts, intakes, bumpers, etc. And a lot of the time they aren't looking to get rich on re-sale. I would never have bought the Tanabe for new retail, it was way more money than I wanted to spend.
