Short Shifter

Im thinking of getting a short shifter, Ive searched but havent found exactly what Im looking for. I would like your suggestion between the T1r shifter ,and h-fit kit, and the skunk2 kit.

thanks,
Nick

Also with the Skunk2 here. Works great, with shift knob height 2" lower than stock. With stock knob it's not aggressive enough

I've got the Skunk2 shift adapter AND the h-fit hard mounts. I love it! Short shifts and a great metallic "click" with every shift. It hardly ever gets stuck between gears now.

Got mine on ebay. See if you can find an auction with "make offer" option. Usually can get $10 off the kit that way.

i'd go with mugen + hfit hard mount kit. If it's too expensive, save up, or go with skunk2 + hfit hard mounts...

The Mugen doesn't seem to be a real short shifter though, just a replacement shifter with the length cut down to put the knob lower. Not like a C's where they actually change the pivot point.

It IS indeed a short shifter. It just comes with the new housing because if it was just the shifter iotself it is a PITA to change the little shifter, like the T1R. I have the mugen and it is a HUGE difference from stock.

i have the Mugen Short Shifter and it really is shorter than stock. You probably wont feel it because its YOUR car and you drive it like everyday but when you step out of ANOTHER car aside from a Fit and jump back into the Fit w/ a short shifter you WILL feel the difference.

Yup and I can vouch it is shorter cause I have a stock fit and one with the mugen short shifter.

According to Mugen's diagram it's simply a shortened shifter with a stock pivot location. That's what I was saying. It's just a "shorter" shifter which, yes, gives you a shorter throw but not like a true short shift kit such as a C's.

I'm trying to find out if C's is actually making one for the Fit though, instead of spending both money and time just to lower the shift knob...
