So I bought a K&N intake....

Well, I was hasty didnt do my research and went and ordered a K&N typhoon for my 08 Fit. I later after ordering found out about all the horror stories of poor fitment, cutting, modifying, etc that people were having to take on with the intake.

I received mine today and thought what the heck lets just try and slap this on to see how much of a pain it really is. Well to my surprise a half hour later I had the intake completely installed with no problems making it fit what so ever. I don't know if this has been addressed yet but It seems that K&N may have properly re-designed the typhoon intake to properly fit the fit.

There were two threads on the K&N. You only read the first one.

I dunno, I always notice people saying don't buy this intake on a regular basis even now. I was under the impression that even the first redesign didn't quite fit well either.

I actually had this intake and the install isn't that bad at all. Only thing that bothered me a bit was that it took a little more effort to get the filter out in order to clean and re-oil it. But honestly, it's not that big of a deal. I think the k&n is as fine an intake as the next.
