How do you replace the stock horn?

Hi! I need you help.

I'm new to the Honda Jazz as I've just been using it for 1 1/2 months now. What I'd really like to do is replace the stock horns... how to I do that myself?

For one, I couldn't find the location of the horn- stupid me.

Maybe this DIY site will help you by just following the pictures, I think you get to the point.

Thanks Type-R! I was already thinking of removing the bumper but I was hoping I wouldn't have to. Looks like now, I don't have a choice.

Anyway, the pictures look easy enough to follow. Thanks again!

Yes I have a few other links of DIY personal Fit/Jazz freaks like us too, they are from all over the world.

I became aware of these sites, with a little digging on the net, and following links from one site to the other, even if I don’t understand their writing I easily follow the pictures, and get to the point.

If this Forum opens a DIY Forum, all of us who make mods on their cars could contribute, by taking pictures of all the working stages, this would help others to understand how it can be done, or how you got there even if we think the job is B.S.

hey, may i join this post diy,

see the stock horn is installed at behind of the rh fog lamp.

if you have a fog lamp installed, just take away a tappet screw on the
right side of fog lamp plastic bracket, then you can pull out the rh fog rinht.
you will find only one stock horn is behind the fog lamp. so u dont need to
take away a big giant bumper.

in case without fog lamp, you take 4 plastic plugs on the front grill, and take away 2 tappet scews at the corner of bumper, then u do easily pull a bumper
from the headlamp brackets. then you can see this horn is under washer resourvior, therefore you do not need to take away a full bumper, either.

good luck.

any more question with diy for jazz/fit, email to me fit4wd@hotmail.com

nice to hear that you guy in us have been riding fit now!!! hurahhhhh

Smile replacing horn

I work at a dealership in Ohio and a customer who purchased a red auto sport wanted to install dual horns. I watched the mechanic and no you don't have to remove the bumper. He put it on the lift (at home ramps should do) and removed the front lower plastic shroud (1 or 2 screws and plastic 1/2 turn clips) to gain access to the horn. I didn't get to see the whole project as I had to return to the sales floor, but he made a small jumper from the other horn and bolted it in. It sounded like a real car now.
Hope this helps. Doug aka Joefit
