Megan Axel-back Installed! (vids)

Hello all:

I just installed my new Megan Racing axel-back exhaust and thought I'd show off a bit I'm really pleased with the sound. As of right now, my only mods are a Fujita SRI and the new exhaust.

I was going to go ahead and buy the Megan b-pipe and headers, but I wanted to see how loud the muffler was by itself. I'd love to hear what you guys think. Should I go for it? Or leave it as is? (I like a nice tone, but I don’t want it too loud)

Here is the exhaust clip with the new exhaust installed:

And, here is the stock setup for comparison:

Thanks!

Thanks F003x! I really like the sound too.

So, what do you guys think? Should i step up to the headers and b-pipe, or leave it as is?

My aftermarket header didn't add any noticeable amount of noise to my intake + megan exhaust setup.

You should paint the muffler black, it'll look much better!

Thanks Koi! Do you have the b-pipe as well, or just the axel-back like I'm currently running?

Thanks for the reply Dew - What's wrong with the Megan header? (I want a stainless steel header)

Hmmm... I've got some research to do on my header apparently. Thanks again for the responses Dew!

since the fit only has a 1.5L the header will drop off a torque number or two but you gain a couple hp numbers in the top.

I'm running just the axleback.

From what others have said, the megan header will give you a little more power higher up. The WeaponR street header will give you a little more power on the lower end.

weaponR race header is the one that makes more power but you need to do a little fab work to keep the header from rubbing on parts. the street header works but i think you need to weld on your own 02 bung.

No need to weld on the O2 bung for the street header. Just screw in the stock sensor.
