RHD conversion?

Has anyone done the RHD conversion on the Fit yet? Anyone know what parts are needed for the swap? I think it would be very cool and unique to drive a RHD Fit in North America, LOL.

You would need the entire front clip of a jdm jazz. Its a lot easier said than done. THe conversion entitles the builder to basically cut front of the usdm car at the begining of the a-pilars down along the line of the front fenders and then weld the jdm front clip in place. Problems? the car has to be set up just right or the body will end up not be straight and the steering and handling of the car will be ruined. Then there is the issue with safety, I have heard many a horror story of rhd cars getting in accidents and the front end sheering off at the welds. Not my cup of tea.

Why would u do that to a new car? Wouldn't it be better and safer to just import one from japan? You still have the jdmness of a rhd car but its acually jdm and u have jdm everything so you don't spend months and $$ tracking down the right parts.

hell no i wouldnt do this to the fit just because its a new car and the parts for a new car would be a lot more than an older honda.

you can to a RHD conversion without a chassis chop. it's done all the time on hondas and subarus. you will need a ton of parts, but it is possible.

its stupid if you try to do a whole front clip swap because its really hard to get it aligned. when i did it to my eg i swapped firewalls from the rhd front clip to my car. then used all of the steering components and the dash and the pedals and the wipers. but everything else was about the same. if anyone knows about rhd front clips that are available i will def do it to my fit.

contact n1 concepts, they might be able to get you a real RHD instead of converting. You can ask them if they're willing to sell their yellow one.

when i went to the dealer.. before i bought my fit... i saw the label and it says 100% made in japan. JDM Approved! nah but i would but not for a very long time. my car is still a baby. once it age and wrinkles that's when i do some crazy modifications. i think RHD conversion would likely be the last modification i would do. or just go Japan or Europe and purchase it from there.
