power is lost when you bought the automatic.

sometimes i wish i had the AT, especially when i'm extra tired on the drive back from school.
headers give you a little power. keep your CAT, don't kill mother earth.

it was my understanding that power was lost when we all decided to buy a Fit

the OEM exhaust manifold is a huge choke point. i couldn't even fit my thumb into one of the exhaust ports, LoL. a header can't hurt, i'm running a modified OEM intake box (baffles cut out), megan header (replica, but it only cost me $40 and it fit perfect and works well ), OEM down pipe, OEM mid pipe, and megan axleback. it's punchier than stock for sure, but still slow

Great thank you, finally got some DIRECT HELP...

So ditch the CAT DELETE and go with HEADERS... sounds like a plan...

Was the any loss or gain with MPG?
i know that varies depending on many variables,
but with your routine driving, any gain or loss?

^^ FitFreak used to be like that. i honestly can't understand the change in consensus.. i always thought giving advice/help was the best way of earning respect on a forum, not by slinging dry insults and using high-school humor.... maybe i'm getting old

a cat delete would do you some good as well, i just don't like the "raspyness" it ads to the exhaust note. even with a bodied muffler, you'll still get the tell-tale buzz that most honda's are known for. if you can deal with that and the increased decibel rating, go for it.

**EDIT**
i forgot to mention, someone (pretty sure it was I AM RAY back when his username was mx6gt) said that a header, cat delete, oem mid-pipe, and axleback exhaust "felt" like the best combo for daily driving and mid-range power. this was when he was still using a netami twin-loop axleback - i'd rather be called a liar than find that post LoL

as far as power and mpg goes. my butt dyno says there's more pick-up between 3500rpm through 5500rpm, ear dyno noticed a more mellow exhaust note - sounds quieter .. these are just my observations and i have absolutely no scientifical/mathmatical/voodoo to prove any of it. i can't say i've increased in mpg, it pretty much stayed the same. BUT since i've installed the header, i found myself revving all the way up and through the sweet spot and retaining my 38mpg (5spd MT).

if you have any other questions feel free to PM me and i'll do my best to help.

weapon r street headers are known to increase torque and increase city mpg.

I installed a cat delete in my girlfriends fit and wow(crazy torque and response throughout the rpm's with good top end power) it was all it needed besides and intake, and then I installed the headers and it all went down hill, the shift points were all messed up and we needed to press the gas pedal way more to go = (

weird, could it be because the car was running lean with the header? did you have an exhaust too?

to the OP, i have intake, header, and axle back on my car for AT. butt dyno definately tells me it's quicker but i doubt its by much though.
