jb weld fixes anything.

Im not sure if it would work. I looked it up online and found this on there website:

Q: Is there anything that J-B Weld WON'T bond to?

A: J-B Weld will not adhere to, or bond well to:
  • Any flexible rubber surface
  • Leather
  • Vinyl
  • Canvass
  • Polypropylene plastic
  • Polyethylene plastic

Idk if the intake is made out of either of those plastics.

most likely is abs plastic. hard to say need a pic.

You might be able to try the plastic cement used for model cars and stuff. The regular stuff (not the non-toxic type) may be strong enough. Word of warning though, it can soften the plastic a little when drying and could warp just a little bit.

If that didn't hold, I'd just bend a small L-bracket from strap aluminum and rivet it on to hold the tube tight, sealing with Hondabond or something similar.

I'm not sure what else really works for plastic.

I do a lot of Slot Car mods. I would suggest JB WELD. It is hard when set. Failing that good old Duct Tape eh.

Chris03HD 07-24-2009 07:05 AM

I would plastic weld it, or find someone in your area that plastic welds.

You can also buy kits online, as they come in handy when other interior/exterior plastic crack issues arise.

k20a298ek 07-24-2009 09:04 AM

or get it plastic welded just find a plastic injection place and see if they can weld it for you.

^^^I've never heard of that. You can weld plastic?

*tucks away in the archives for future reference
