the throttle body from the bmw had a wired throttle.

try looking at using a ge8 throttle body since it is 3mm bigger than the gd3 TB.

Has anyone found out if they will machine composite T/Bs like on the Fit.... I noticed that all of the pictures on their site was showing aluminum T/Bs, but it seems that they would advertise that they would do composites if so.

the fit throttle body is aluminum but the intake manifold is composite.

biigger throttle body won't do anything for performance without head work and a cam. don't waste you time and money.

It may help a little at higher RPM but at the possible cost of power loss on the bottom.... A change in cam timing duration for more power does pretty much the same unless you increase the compression ratio.... Mild port clean up is always a positive but remove too much metal and you are screwed.....The only 2 things that can be done that guarantees a power boost is forced induction or nitrous oxide and both of them require changes in A/F ratios and timing to realize maximum results..... Lowering the weight of rotating mass will not increase the power output of your engine but will allow more of the power to be used to move the car and is a win win thing to do with nothing but positive results.

Well to get the most out of that combination he'd best add high compression pistons or it will be dead on the low end and kick serious ass if he does. If his engine is F/I/ skip the high C/R pistons.

Oh yes! A bad bad thing.... I am amazed at the amount of boost that some are using on their Fits with the stock C/R and valve timing.

the l15a is about at its max running 9psi. the f20c is the motor that truly impresses me. high compression and people are still running crazy boost out of it.

high compression + boost = no lag!!
