Haha, it probably works though, I had a OBX header for a TL that we modified to fit my odyssey. Worked damn good.

yea obx has always been so-so at best, i was just shocked to see they put one out so fast, i wonder who's header they used to copy and modify, i really doubt they designed their own.

For a header and catted downpipe, that deal is killer. I took the time to examine the welds, very nice, actually. The materials must not be top dollar, but most header/cat combo's will be at least twice the price. The material is stainless for sure, so it will most definitely last.

There are other factors that go into making a header cheap. For example. My hotshot header for my 01 sentra(SR20DE Roller Cam) cost me well over $400 USD. It was OK in the weld department, bolted on perfectly but rusted after a year and formed a large hole. Then I found a weapon R header (similar design long tube 4-2-1) 2.5" collector and stainless steel. All for 245 shipped. I couldn't believe it. Got it the welds were fine, a bit sloppy (outside only) but still bolted up perfect. Power was identical. Then I noticed something. The design was identical down to the andles of the primaries and even the angle the collector faced where the secondaries merged. WR just coppied the Hotshot which had been around for years and revised several times.

So what did I pay more for the hotshot for? Well hotshot payed several mechanical engineers to sit and figure out all of these factors, determine flow rates and design a header that gave my car 14 whp on a dyno on a factory exhaust (my car on the dyno no joke). So they charged more. OBX baught one and coppied.

So what do you want to buy? Thats your decision!

Quote From Dave at OBX

I have a quote from Dave at OBX!!!!

"Hello,

Yes, we are the first company that makes the 2007~ Honda Fit headers in world at the moment. I'm sure everybody will be copying us shortly.
No, it is not Carb tested yet and cannot claim to pass emissions, they are made for race design.

We have a full written lifetime warranty on all our headers.

For retail sales, services and discounts, please contact: sales@TuningDepot.com or call them at: (650) 228-1461.

Thank you

Dave-OBX"

So they are not Carb Tested!! and probably won't pass emissions!! It is a RACE design!!!

Not interested! I'll wait for DC sports to come out with a carb legal one.

It shouldn't change your actual emissions unless you mess with the cat, but it will fail a visual test.

I'd buy it...if only I had a Fit. It would make a great compliment to the HFP exhaust.

The Headers as depicted comes with a replacement Cat!

And they said that it is not carb tested nor definately an emissions tester.

So the CAT that comes with it affects your overall emissions b/c you are replacing it for the stock one!

Has anyone test it. Btw many other brands in the market for long time like X-force, Spoon, HotBits, other local brands.
Most of them are 4-2-1 but OBX is 4-1 which is less gain than 4-2-1 in power. Have heard the best is Spoon but it's $$$.

I thought that a 4-1 was better than a 4-2-1 setup? Can anyone explain??

This OBX header is missing a O2 bung for the primary O2 sensor and I wonder how they gonna make them fit ? Extending the wiring for the O2 sensor ? Also the down pipe which they come with the header is actually a test pipe (catalytic convertor delete pipe) so it will not pass emissions anywhere in the world not just CARB.

yeah DC sports
I am not a fan of DC Sport products but I do have a lot of expierences with them S2000, Integra Type-R and RSXs. Unfortunately,on S2000 it loses hp and you can find this information on www.s2ki.com . What I can say is, you pay what you get for, besides performance, quality is always an issue if you buy cheap products.

I have seen a long tube design 4-2-1 race header for the Fit in Asia and it look hell lot different comparing the OBX Race header.

I thought that a 4-1 was better than a 4-2-1 setup? Can anyone explain??
4-1 header are meant for high rpm peak power while 4-2-1 are meant for mid-range power. 4-2-1 usually made a lot more mid-range hp comparing to 4-1.

I bought this setup as my cat collapsed inside and honda wanted £690 to fit a new one, bearing in mind I could get one for £230 and fit it myself I thought I'd try the OBX pipes. Got them for £130 delivered to the UK and fitted them this weekend, perfect as we don't have an o2 sensor in the header, only problem I had was the bolt holes were slightly off so had to file them a bit. Bolted on fine, cat delete pipe was spot on and its definately made a difference, considering i'm currently running a standard exhaust with it it does pick up a bit quicker, sounds meatier and there's a bit more top end speed even from my 1.4DSI!
