Thinking of going with DIY Axleback...

So, me being a cheapo and not wanting to pay 400 bucks or 300, I'm looking into making my own axle-back exhaust, simply by buying the brackets to weld the pipe onto, bend the pipe, and get a cheap glasspack and tip. Is there anyone here that's done this and has any advice? Or an estimate of what it would be to have a shop do the same thing? My issue is, I don't want to hack up my OE exhaust, just in case I take it to the dealer I bought it from, because I have a feeling they'll get P.O.'ed and tell me my warranty is denied. So, I'd like to have a completely new exhaust so I can interchange between the two. But I would like something with a deep sound. Nothing raspy. I like feeling the growl. I was kind of looking at a glass pack for this, or a Weapon R Cannon. From what I've read, they seem pretty good, and are only about $66.
