Mishimoto Radiator - GD3

Just got an email from John at Mishimoto saying they're in the developmental phase for making a radiator for a GD3 Honda Fit

They're looking for a test vehicle. They're located in Wilmington, DE if anyone is interested.

You can contact them via website or contact John directly.

John says the radiator is for an AT fit. Not sure what mods will be needed for MT, but I'm sure he can address it if you have any issues.

Why would a company like this make one for the AT and not the manual where there are many more mods available. an how different can they be???

They said there's more of a market for AT. And the AT radiator has a tranny cooler in it, so an external one is not required.

not sure why the mt would need an aluminum radiator? Doing spirited drives up here I can only get the temperature to hit 185, but sitting in traffic it will hit 205 some times.

Wonder if this radiator would work with a k swap?

The main need would be forced induction cars on the track. Yes there were more AT sold but granny who bought it for basic transportation isn't interested. Oh well.

I agree with Stevens24. Unless your going to track your car, or do some major engine mods, an aluminum radiator is not needed. For regular street use, the radiator that comes with the car is perfectly adequate.

I recently tried installing the said radiator which includes the fan shroud. But there it happened the fitment issue, not a big deal but a bit disappointing on my parts. but the first time i heard it, looks like good quality, performs as it's advertised and looks good.

The A\T Rad only have a cooler for the tranny in it! It will work fot a M\T car also! :P

The only time i went on a track with my near stock Fit, coolant temps were in the high 220 range... But it was in a hot summer day also! Needless to say, i changed my oil and A\T Fluid after the sessions (more or less 200km at WOT! LOL)...!

Marko!

**Old Thread**

I'm in New Castle, DE. Very close to Wilmington. Only takes me 5-10 minutes to get there. I need to get in touch with Mishimoto.

Thanks for the info.
