Well the CVT would be cool to have here in NA and I understand that 7 speed paddle is the going to give you the best performance with that transmission. Are you just wanting tips on when to shift?

From what I've seen, the manual is going to give you better 0-60...I thought I'd throw that in early. Someone was bound to say it sooner or later - back at you

I was lazily thinking with better mpg (that is still right I'm sure) potential it would not be as responsive. But CVT is just way more cool all around.

What are your 0-60 times?

With the CVT, just use the sport-automatic mode. But start off with the 7-manual speed mode in the 1st gear. As soon at you're about to redline, switch back to sport-automatic mode.

The key is to keep the engine RPM near redline as you accelerate (and in CVT mode, that's automatically taken care of). In sport automatic CVT mode, it takes a bit more time to reach the redline from a stop, that's why you'll need to launch at 1st gear in the manual mode.

Note that the reviewer did an average of 8.85 secs from 0 - 60!

Also, contrary to popular perception, CVT is faster than manual transmissions, given that the transmission is the only difference between the cars.
