Yea probably, trust me man, the last 2 days i was ready to sell the fit as is, give up, and get back to normal life. I have spent about $970 for my rental that i had for 3weeks! If i knew that this swap would be this complex i would deff get a second car instead of wasting money on a rental.

Your build looks fantastic! I can't wait to see more progress and the final results!

I agree! Small car, big power, tons of trunk space, 4doors, cheap insurance, good mpg, no car payment.

Kinda hard to find that combination at your local car dealership :p

that is kind of funny you mention that. At the time my parents dint understand why I dint just rent a car and why I had to borrow my friends POS Crown Vic. I tried to explain to them the swap is not something that could be done in a weekend and it would take the shop time. There response was well maybe the shop is not very good.....

I am glad you are keeping at it and I can guaranty you, that first time you take the car out, and hammer on the gas you will not stop smiling.

Well i couldn't wait any longer for Brian to figure out a single ecu setup, so i went with the traditional dual ecu setup, which is a pain in the ass, since you don't get any instructions from hasport or hondata.

I actually fired her up last night, but theres a lot to still fix since hasport didn't really give me the correct harness, so im left with repinning connectors. Not fun when you pay big money, and still have to modify, and troubleshoot.

Yea I feel your pain on the time frame which this kind of swap entails. Sorry to hear about the harness. I looked at the diagram for the both the fit and tsx ecu and the layout is the same as far as the plugs go but its the individual pinouts spots that differ. Tell me about spending tons of cash. I had originally bought the Rex harness and ecu in order to do the dual harness. I heard spend less money for single ecu and be able to run flash pro (cheaper still) so I jumped on that wagon. Hahah yes I am the other guy. Luckily I have time to wait for the harness to be made. I would send it back to them if I was you. But I know your pressed for time. I was figuring you sent them the stock harness? Or did you just have them get everything for you? BTW, I saw how long some others took for this swap and just got a beater to roll around in. Lol.

You need to get a GoPro when you are finished and go out and race some Mustangs and put them in their place. lawl

Make sure to keep it as stock as possible on the outside though, so when you pull up they will laugh at you until all they see is tail lights, then and only then, you can point and laugh at them.

you did the hard part, got the engine in there. Did you get the car sorted out or at least figure out what the issue was?

ThEvil0nE 08-14-2012 02:11 AM

harness issues is dragging this build... voltage issues (where there shouldn't be) is a bish.

one of them yes, but there is also a mystery of why my power steering burned up, and my idle still surges non stop.
