Have just registered a nick myself after browsing through the forum for several months.


Happy New Year 2014 to all!


Have Some questions regarding exhaust mufflers which required your precious advise.


I am currently driving a GE8 and below are the modification done.


1) J'S muffler ( Only muffler change as there are strict regulation on modification)
2) Dastek UniChip and Tuning
3) CAI


Have been driving awhile and the J's Muffler is giving me headache due to the drone at 3k rpm.


Have since been sourcing an alternative and would like to us if Mugen Muffler is suitable to replace the J's


also, will the low end be affected if I were to replace J's with Mugen?


As Mugen muffler are pretty expensive, would like to seek valuable advices on this.


One question, how are you guys doing for your 0-100km/h?


What is the ideal timing to clock without FI.

You might take a look at the HKS axle back. From all the research I've done it seems to give a similar sound to the Mugen, isn't too loud/obnoxious, and is less than half the price. I wouldn't think power is going to be affected much any way you go with just an axle back/muffler swap.

Ohh, thanks, didn't know its of the same loudness as per hks. How about sticking to stock muffler? Improving of low end and loss at mid and high?

 

Any expert? Will there be improvement to o ly fix mugen axle muffler.compare to stock?
