Would I be turned away, if I show up with a USB cable running from a piggyback to a laptop when I go in for an emissions test (Illinois)?

You are living in one of about 10 states that are "behind enemy lines." Move to a free state and stop worrying about emissions testing, beyond what you feel is appropriate.

Well, the only other state I'd consider living in, is California.... Which, i think is even worse.

As for the actual test, as far as I can tell, i should pass. I have a fully stock exhaust with all stock sensors in place and working. Its just the issue of the piggyback not working without my laptop.
