short ram vs cold air???

I currently have a DC Sports short ram, ceramic headers and full cat-back installed on my 07 5-speed. I'm curious how much of a difference I would get out of switching to a cold air intake and if it's worth spending the money.. any feed back would be appreciated ;-)

Regardless of all the bolt-ons you install you need to tune the vehicle. Spend the money on a Hondata Flashpro. That's where you'll get the best results.

Honestly, not more than a couple HP, especially on a small engine like the L15. If you had a more extensive setup (forced induction, etc.), you might see a bigger difference. But honestly, I'd just stick with what you've got. The cost of said new intake would vastly outweigh the benefits, even if you take into account selling your old short ram.

Have you ever seen a 0-60 acceleration claim tested? Yes, you have. Motor Trend and Car and Driver have been doing it for decades.

Have you ever seen an independent test, by an independent lab, of a "cold" or short intake product published by the company promoting said product? No, you haven't. It doesn't mean the tests don't exist but the tests are negative and not conducive to selling product.

Agreed. Also check out the dyno sheets thread (I'd post a link but I don't have it) to see what numbers people are getting from which products. Or while you're spending a bunch of money on the FlashPro (check the For Sale section as someone may be selling one at a discount vs new) you could just buy a cold air intake and remove the short ram and sell it to recouperate some money you dropped on the other goodies.
