Arc has informed me that their are no plans to make it for our fits.

like most jazz intakes, the dbw gets in the way, and the intakes hit the battery. And the sensors may not reach, depending on their location on the jazz intakes.
Just look at the last station intake thread.

from my experience, all ARC intakes suck when it comes to performance, i like to call them hot air intakes.

 

thats odd I know ARC makes great intercoolers,oil coolers, and a freind has one on his 550 whp s14. So please explain in greater detail why they suck so much.

 

i seen alot of cars like a EVO, S2k and STi lose, or make no power ON A DYNO, thats why. Just because they make great intercoolers doesn't mean they make great intakes.

 

What mods did those cars have? How much power do you want to make on an intake for a turbo motor? I agree with you, you would be better off putting your money elsewhere if you are going for power. but to say these things suck is a bit harsh in my opinion. just out of curiosity what intake do you have

I agree, $1,000 for an intake just for astetics doesn't just cut it. I would rather spend $200 on an ugly intake that makes hp. That's why you're buying an intake in the first place is to free up some power.

the STi and EVO were near stock, just turbo back. the S2K has just about every NA mod possible.

i have alot of cars, i have a 05 STi with a FP red turbo and supporting modds and a Honda Fit sport 5MT with nitrous, and a 03 honda pilot with nitrous.... my hondas love nitrous, and i run a Fujita CAI on the Fit, its a great intake that WORKS and does not ingest hot air.

 

That said, Fujita's short ram is in the engine compartment and it makes slighty more power than the CAI if you compare Fujita's dyno charts. True, the gains are minimal, so at worst the intakes are the same. Still, one has to really ask how much does the cooler air matter in the Fit's case. Me, I say very little. I dunno, I still hate CAI's . . .

 

The concept of CAI is nice but how much different is the air that is 6" lower. If you live in an area like I do where the pavement/ concrete gets so heat soaked that you can feel the heat radiate from it long after the sun goes down, wouldn't you actually be hurting performance? Wouldn't they work better if you wrapped them in a heat shield or insulation?
I like the look of some of these box designs better and if they make any power thats just a bonus. The arc is not at all elegant looking though.

I'll probably just fab one myself out of fiberglass again. The last one I did made 11HP on the dyno and thats as good as I see just about anywhere else.
