i didnt use the resonator. i just used the muffler, bought a new tip and took it to a muffler shop and they welded a tube and a flange so its like a bolt on axleback. and it sounds stock.

Where'd you get the tip from? Ohh and when you went to the muffler shop did they put on a different flange? Cus one of my friends with an eclipse put a universal exhaust on his car and they used the flange from the stock muffler. Id preffer to keep my stock in tack. I just noticed you have an a spec axle back for sale. hmmm tempting

they used a universal flange. any good muffler shop will have the right size flange in stock and they shouldnt charge more than 60 bucks to do it. oh and i got my tip from honda. the one that came with the muffler was messed up. they get screwed up easily.

Got any pics of that? I'd love to see how it looks! How is the sound? Close to stock? This seems like a good way to go rather than spending several hundred on an axleback!

Wait.... Kelsey, Is this a cover up because the J's muffler was too loud?
I remember you saying your car was too loud.

I had a 2008 TL-S muffler on my car. Header, cat-delete, full B-pipe and it sounded like shit.
Anything under 3000rpms it made no noise. Anything above it was raspy and poopie.

It wasnt heard inside the car with the windows up. But outside it was ehhh.
I like it sometimes. Almost made me thing I had a Bseries

yea, i put the ap1 muffler on because my j's was too loud. but only temporarily. once i get my carb sticker ill be all good. but i dont think it sounds bad at all. chris (special) said my car sounded like a stock k20 with it. also, when my wastegate opens, the dump pipe is still crazy loud.
