Black headlight housing

Is it possible to open up the stock headlights and repaint the interior a different color? I want my housings black to go better with my taffeta White fit, and I dont wanna pay the horrendous amount for OEM headlights...

baking our headlights in the oven doesn't turn out so well, they melt real easy, and on top of that they are more of a bitch to put back together, if you can get them back toegther, this is why i ditched my HID-retro project, shit just kept melting, when i went to use a heat gun wasn't any easier either, takes a long time to get things warm enough to even begin to loosen up, that i said forget that also, and just decided to not keep bothering trying.

Might just be better to buy a set that are already black.

Once he goes to bake them he's going to see why he should just go buy another set, cause once he's done baking them he'll need another set anyways, and again this knowledge come from experience from these cheap ass plastic headlights!

don't know much about baking headlights. my friend did it for me for my rsx and he had to cut it open after baking it for a while. i'd imagine baking with the right amount of heat and time is the key. anyway, i think buying a new set would be a lot easier and looks more professional than going through the trouble of doing it yourself

No need to pay $500 -- Bernardi Parts has 'em for $177.40 per side, so only a bit over $350 for the pair. Better than turning your current ones into fondue in the oven.

okay guys, what would you do, if price wasnt an issue? Buy the black headlights, get a CF hatch spoiler, CF front lip spoiler, or a CF hood? Lets hear your suggestions...

also, to anyone with a Nighthawk Black Fit, do the headlights have a glossy black interior or flat black?

I'd get either the headlights or the hood because they'll give the most visual impact for the money spent. Lips and spoilers are OK, but people won't notice them nearly as much, if that's what you're going for.

I've seen the headlights up close, and they're glossy inside, but not quite the same as the paint (probably the same difference as what you've got now). They'll look sweet on you're white Fit, trust me. This is something I've wanted to do myself for some time.

I would get the CF hatch, but its like $600... so the headlights it is. Besides I already have quite a few good performance mods for now. I would like one "bling bling" mod.
