JDM Front-End Conversion..... Justification?

Everyone is trying to figure out if 2,000 dollars is worth the JDM Conversion... well i think i just figured a way for guys like myself (who don't quite own a Fit yet) to purchase this kit.

I've been checking Honda.com and the Sport Fit is 2,000 dollars more. Now what i've been looking at, the only difference i see for this car is a lip kit, and a spoiler (for the manuals anyway).

I figure, just take out a loan with 2,000 bucks extra and go ahead and buy the conversion kit.

The Few. The Proud. The JDM.

BTW, getting my Fit within a month or two. not sure whether to get Blue or White...

...Which is ENTIRELY the reason I'm getting one over the base model. Cruise may seem like such a small thing...but if you're gonna drive the car daily for tne next 5 years, it's one of the most convenient things you can have. Also, it'll do a LOT to keep you away from those killer speeding tickets.

I Don't think the difference comes out to 2,000. But adding all the extras, I think it's worth it. Did you get yours installed through the dealer w/ key + built in fob etc?

Fit Bodywork

I have to say that I have been doing my homework on the Fit for well over a month. This includes calling my local dealership and getting the 5th degree over how I know about the Fit. Then seeing one on the lot and calling back the same dealership to arrange a test drive. Test drove the silver Fit Sport and fell in love! but wasn't ready to commit. They sold the car the same week although I have not seen it on the road. Test drove a Yaris and Versa just to do more homework and kept coming back to the Fit. Called the dealership yesterday to follow-up and the guy I have been working with told me they are getting a base model in the first of May(red) . Asked him to please call me so I can test drive the base but I really feel that I will go with the Sport just because it is so sweet! Anyway, the salesman insist that I come down and test drive a Civic because he feels that is a better car for me. They are getting two more Fits in mid May that are being built at this time a red and blue - I love the silver or orange but leaning towards the silver - they will use one of the cars coming in to trade off with another outside the state Honda dealership for the one that I decide to go with. Nothing like trying to buy our Fits - we have to be nuts to wait months for the ones we want. With any luck I'll have the car by June or July! He drove a Fit out of state to trade it for another vehicle and he just did not like the ride - I will be using for to and from work and I hate to drive long distance- no reason to so I am not concerned about that. Why is it that the dealership doesn't seem to back this perfect little car!

Cat :X

here's a justification not to.

you get in a front end collision, insurance sees you removed the US 5mph bumper supports in favor of a teeny ass jdm one. They will likely drop you.
