CF Hood Install Advice

not really. mine bolted on really nicely. although, i dont know what kind of hood you got (mine was a seibon) but if you have to drill holes in it to make the stock rubber and heat sheild fit, make sure to measure twice, drill once.
are you going to be using hood pins?

i've got a seibon also, the packaging was amazing, too me about 45 minutes just to get the thing out of the box.
i do not plan on using any hoodpins yet, maybe in the future.

yea i drilled a few holes so the rubber strip on the inner front lip would pop into place and a few more holes for the heat shield. i also went down to honda and got the stock stickers for the inside. also, there were indentations where the holes should have been. DO NOT USE THOSE! they dont match up to where the holes really should be. measure yourself and make a template. and dont drill through the hood. just through the fiberglass on the inside =)

you dont have to, but i highly recommend it.
although, you do have to put the rubber stripping on the front lip of it otherwise you will get all sorts of water in your engine bay in the rain.

bottom line is, if you dont have a heat shield, the clear will lift and discolor on the cf hood. ive seen it happen on a spoon hood for a civic.
