Hmmm... what color should I paint my car?
Had a small mishap with my Fitrari yesterday and now I'm giving serious thought towards giving the body shop the go-ahead on painting it a different color for the hell of it, leaving the roof and mirrors black. My choices so far are:
Championship White
Aviator Gray(Audi TT)
Misano Red(another Audi color)
Dakar Yellow(E36 M3 color)
Any suggestions?

I'm kind of leaning towards the Dakar Yellow, leaving only the mirrors and the roof Nighthawk Black Pearl.
I've owned a '98 Type R and loved Championship White, but I've also owned 2 STIs, an Evo 9, and an Audi S4, all of them in white, so a change would be nice.

something along the lines of forrest green. like a dark rich green...WITH GOLD pearl!

i think the dude said his car was some kinda bmw green with gold pearl. i thought it looked sweet when i rolled up to it. he had gold enkei rpf1's
i thought it was a good combo

I was thinking the same thing Mx6GT89.I won't paint the car any aftermarket color because, when you sell it(maybe for the next gen.Fit)you will have a hell of a time selling it to the dealer without taking a huge lose(if they'll even buy it from you).Stick with the factory color, you won't be sorry.

I agree with the don't do it posters. Painting a car a different color adds alot of work to do right, painting door jams, trunk lip edges, under hood etc. I wouldn't change a cars color. (Total restorations are another thing.)

yea, i also say hold out. the factory paint is such bad quality that it will be no time at all when you actually NEED a new paint job. every time i want to paint my car, i get about two thirds behind the idea, and then talk some sense into myself and ultimately i dont do it. usually because i save the money and then with cash in hand, i find something else more useful to spend it on.

Thanks for the responses!
I'm really not concerned about resale value because I bought this car to replace my hooptie Civic Wagon. Even after hitting the pole I said to myself, "Thank God this wasn't my STI or Evo". I would've had a heart attack.
Painting the door jambs etc. isn't a priority since the car is black already.
