FIT Lambo Doors?

Just wondering if any of you fitfreaks have lambo style doors on your car? I noticed some on a video on utube and am kinda interested in maybe doing this on my car. Make, Model, Brand, Cost etc would be appreciated. Pics if ya got em.

Lambo doors belong on Lambos and only Lambos. Not on econo-hatchs IMO!

Just pop the hatch and say it is a custom Gull-Wing conversion. Trust me lambo doors are cool for about 10min then it's all over.

I agree, and plus they cost a lot. I'd much rather invest that in something else. Haha that video is funny though.

i think those doors are hassle.

if anything i want a door to open up like a mini van. the sliding door, then get rotating seats.

but even that would be a waste of money and time.

These were before adjusting them to make them even, but as you can tell it is dark in the pictures..... we started at 1pm (granted it was only myself and my friend that has next to NO knowledge of how to work on a car working on it... in my driveway)

There was pounding, hammering, grinding, sawing, riveting, prying, and cursing all night long. Now I had to put the damn thing back to stock hinges because the kit wears out after a couple of years and they are horrible about selling replacement parts!

Don't do it. You will hate yourself.

Im curious why you actually want lambo doors on the fit? Is it an image thing? Im not a fan of them but im not gonna knock your idea just curious on your reasoning.

Just curious actually

I dont know what they cost or how they work or anything like that I was merely wanting to know if the option was available and if anyone has done it? I did a short google on these doors and seems like every set i came across was around 1200 bucks or more and required welding and bolting things together. Other then a utube video done in japan i thought it looked kinda neat but being a bigger guy i was interested in if you had to move around your door to get in. Mere curiosity was all that prompted this thread.

Anything is possible, and $1200 sounds about right for a 2 actuator kit. The first kits to come out (usually the best ones) all require welding and removal of the fenders. Later they will release a custom kit for the fit and it will be a pile of crap the fits 'better' than the previous models.

as far as getting into a car with lambo doors - it's not a good time. even the 90degree kits still get in the way. you have to angle your body towards the seat then have a controlled fall into the car, while still making sure you don't hit your head on the corner of the door that is now DIRECTLY in your way.

- I will NEVER consider lambo doors an option for any car i will EVER own. They are a pain, but to each their own.

Seriously, if I were to do a door conversion, I'd figure out how to do this:

Hahaha. That is awesome. It doesnt look like it would pass a side impact hit though. That would kinda suck but otherwise it would be alot of fun

Unless your building a over the top show car I would have to advise against lambo doors. A friend of mine had them and after a year he was so sick of them that he changed back, for daily use it can be a real hassle getting in and out of the car.
