all these spoilers are mimicked off the jdm fits. unfortunately.

double sided tape works, but i dont trust that.

someone had put the mugen double deck on(j racings type s spoiler)

and he used 1 bolt and the rest was double sided tape.
Ok I am no way mad at you I am just venting. That being said...
For some of the prices of these CF "Duckbill" Spoilers they should be a direct bolt on. I can not imagine paying 400+ for a spoiler and it not being a direct fit I don't care how "JDM" it is. I have said it before and I will say it again, the first company to make a true direct bolt spoiler, "Duckbill" like the Spoon one, will get my $$. Hint, Hint vendors... I hope others feel the same.

I like the spoon spoiler but there is no way I want to have to drill any holes, Im with Nerv2g if some on makes a spoon style thats a direct bolt in they will get my money.

pssh there is no way in hell i would pay 400 bucks for a duckbill.

man i made hondafittuner.com install it for me....

and i didnt pay 400 heh.

you could always drill only 1 hole you know. its not that hard, and it will always be covered up.

i was going to do this part myself. shave the 2 side bolts off and just double side tape those. and just drill a middle hole...so i know that the wing will always stap on the car even if the doublesided tape fails. which it wont.

What kind of double sided tape is that if its that strong. For my duckbill I was planning on drill the 2 sides and then use double sided tape for the middle. I have some tape but I dont think its strong enough.

so i finally got the seibon mg style installed today. seibon of course said that it was a direct bolt on with a usdm fit but when i got it a few weeks ago i was sadly dissapointed. on top of that after i took off the oem one their were 3 other holes that need to be filled in the middle. so i sanded down the top of the trunk to bare metal, bonded, sanded again, primed, painted, and cleared today. still have to buff it out a little but matches very well. had some paint left over from having my trunk re-sprayed last fall so i was able to use it. Here some pics.

The legs on the vertical portion should be touching the glass. There shouldn't be any gap between the spoiler and the glass.

i just bought a axis style spoiler from hondafittuner and it doesnt bolt up directly of course. im nervous about drilling it because it being fiber glass and the potential of it cracking.. ive searched all over and read about 3m taping it.. but im kinda iffy about the strength of 3m taping it on. Anyone have any suggestions?

3M tape will hold fine unless you're doing something ridiculously crazy.

I had this wing on my xB with just 3m tape for about a year, it even stayed on during the accident which totaled my xB

wow sorry about your xB.

3m tape ftw lmao.. still a little skeptical. i'd feel better with atleast 1 bolt in it, but it doesnt even look possible with the wing i have. guess ill just risk it with 3m

If you're worried you can always get some adhesive promoter. I dont know the name of the product but you spray it on the wing and hatch and the 3m tape will hold better.
