Blue Side Mirrors

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen blue tint for side mirrors. Just like how the BMWs, VW, Benz have on. I was thinking of finding blue tint and putting that on but i dont think it would work as good. It really looks good but also serves a good purpose too. Anyone??

I used regular tinting film. It works just as well and, the same way, as my cousin's beamer.

I believe except for looks, it is suppose to dull high beam lights. Using tint still works compared to the OEM euro car mirrors. The euro cars have this, instead of doing a ghetto way of what i did, the glass comes stained like that (factory UV tinted cars).

Heres how mine turned out. Sigh, I hope it doesn't become a trend in tinting mirrors.

On the high beam part, did you notice any difference?

wow that looks great! So you just used regular window tint film eh? Em with your permission can I copy?? lol The reason why I wanted this is because my rear hatch window is 10% so high beams don't affect me. Although the side mirrors still blind me when I'm driving so it is very annoying.

What brand/model of tint did you use? Lifted trucks and people that randomly abuse their high beams are commonplace around here.

just so you know majority of car part stores discontinued the blue tint about 6 months back
you cant find it anywhere
so if u have it you are in luck
if you dont have it- dont bother looking you wont find any

check flea markets and such- or "ghetto" shops

As said above, its suppose reduce glare at night. My Mazda has it on both mirrors OEM.
Its weird driving my Mazda due to the blue. Everything looks more crisp in the mirrors.

Funny because I was thinking about doing this also.

I just bought some Gila Film which is Electric Blue for only

***Drum rolls***

$2.73 LMAO hahahaha I went to the local Advance Auto Parts and found it. Its really dark blue compared to how the OEM ones look on other cars. I tried putting it on and it had lots of bubbles since I was trying to put it on in a low lighted area. So tomorrow is another day If all turns out good then I will post pics for you guys. I might try to find a lighter blue.

Hey Ray do you still have the stock grill?? Stupid tire that hit me on the highway broke the tabs so now it doesnt sit right.

Yeah, I noticed it was a bit better then without it. The high beam halos gone away. Tint has a reflective film on it, so its bound to help, just like the Broadway board mirrors.

Yeah I used regular window tint. I guess you can if you really want to. I also got 10% tint all around.

Spoon used to make a set (they still might) that you stick on top of the existing mirrors. The ends were convex so you got a wider viewing angle on the outside edges.

There was also a company that made replicas but
they stopped selling them a while back.

You might also be able to use the previous generation TL mirrors but that seems like a lot of effort just for blue mirrors.

the spoon ones only fit the jdm side view mirrors. ive already been down that road. but that blue tint on the mirrors is brilliant! good job! i want to do it now haha but i dont wanna be a copy cat (even though if my spoon mirrors fit, i would have had blue mirrors before all of you! haha)

yeah........... I got the whole thing set up and it looked good in daylight but at night it was to dark. Plus it made all the cars behind me look like they had blue bulbs lol. So in conclusion............. I'm done with this film. I am in search for a lighter film now. The one i had was a 35% Electric blue and was beautiful in day but thats as far as it goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So be it...
