Mugen style ABS lip in the way

After wrecking my OE lip backing out of a weird parking lot, I ordered the Mugen -style ABS version front lip from Fittuner, and was wondering if anyone had any advice as far as installation and getting a really nice, 100% tight fitment. They told me, and I have heard this elsewhere, that the fitment is "good, about 90%". Will a good body shop be able to make some tweaks to give it a real nice/improved fit? I have no experience with bodywork mods and want this lip to look/fit extra nice-- not like a janky afterthought. I need 100% fitment if possible.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Well it ended up sucking pretty bad, in my opinion. The guys ar FitTuner gave me reasonable warning though-- I mean no offense against them at all, but this is not at a quality level that works for me.

I have ordered the authentic J's lip from A&J. Pricey, but superb quality and perfect fitment is assured.

For the front lip all you need to do is trim near the foglight housing, if you have a sport. Other than that... as long as you drill the mount holes on point it shouldnt fit bad.

when i had it on my car.

Yeah-- actually staring at your car for literally hours in that Siphon issue is what persuaded me to get it. But mine has some clear flaws, and the shop that installed it could have done better too-- but you would think they could make something that didn't require so much finesse to get right. Mine has small gaps and just generally looks cheap. Yours looked really tight and well done.

In then end, with much of what I see of the replica stuff, you get what you pay for. I don't feel ripped off or anything, but will not buy replica again.

As far as the holes that are there now-- once I remove this one for the J's install, will the area in the wheel well where the holes are be repaired or replaced?

I installed it myself... My lip was the very first onw od those ABS lips. Anywho... I driled the lip so it used my OEM Sport lip holes. That way I dont have a bunch of extra holes.

Thanks very much Chris. Any advice should I end up with extra/exposed holes after removing the Mugen?

you can probably find some small rubber plugs and color match them with touchup paint... or plastic weld them or bodyfiller.

At certain angles, you can see some of the bumper through the little holes, so get some mesh and paint it black or something if you don't wanna see it.
