Not too shabby. I like it...but I wonder if any of the kits out there right now will fit the U.S. version of the Fit.

Personally, I like the Mugen Sport lip kit and the one by INGS +1.

Hopefully the existing aftermarket kits will fit with little to no modifications underneath the bumper cover.

I prefer the "stub nosed" look over the elongated snout on the stock U.S. version.

There's some energy absorbing structure under all that new bumber skin, just look underneath when it comes to a show near you and you'll see what I mean.
Plus god knows how much additional mounting crap - I'll bet it ain't just a bolt on affair for overseas bumpers to "fit" the U.S. model :-(

As a current owner of a Jazz overseas, it does not look like a perfect fit. Even the lower part of the bumper looks like it's longer by an inch or two compare to overseas model. From my past experience, kits like INGS +1, or full bumper cover replacement will work, but it will requires you to remove the beefed up metal beam/cushion to fit overseas bumper.

How much work will removing all the mounting and other

absorbancy materials entail.
I've never done anything like that before. Is it a nut and bolt
sort of thing or something that will involve torch work?

This is just like my US version of the Civic Si EP3, and the JDM one. The US version has larger support bars underneath the bumpers to withstand a slightly higher crash, while the Japanese and the UK versions have very short bars. This makes the bumpers on my car about an inch or so longer. I'm sure it's the same for the Fit. Here's a comparison of what I'm talking about.

Notice the Type-R on top has stubbier bumpers, while the US has elongated bumpers. This picture isn't exactly to scale, but you get the idea.

Here in UK, we actually have the bottom as well. But the bottom model is for the 1.4L model.

Yes, AFAIK Kenstyle is high quality stuff. The problem is that the US Spec Fit will have longer front and rear bumpers than the rest of the planet. So with that in mind the Kenstyle kits will not fit the NA Fit, or atleast, they will not be a direct bolt on affair.

That kenstyle looks like for FL? Because of the front grille. Hmmm interesting, plus I wouldn't mind having that considering my name is Ken XD

Id guess at least +35mm if not a bit less, could be as low as +25 but that would take some work to make it fit even if the wheels are only 6.5" wide which these I doubt are. They look to be 17's at the most, looking at the tire width I doubt the wheels are any wider then 7" with a 205mm wide tire.

I think I may have to do a JDM conversion because their kits are so awesome.

if only there was a cheaper way. Like piecing together from different sources? Maybe a carbon fiber hood would be cheaper than stock JDM hood if you look in the right places? Then all you need is the bumper, lights, fenders, rad support, rebar.

ahhh nm no matter what it'll be expensive. Just wait till you have someone hit your front end, pay the deductible and have your body shop do the front end conversion for you.
